Mission

UOMA NS’s mission is to manage an economically, environmentally and socially efficient and responsible collection, processing and user awareness program for used oils, used glycols (antifreezes), used oil, glycol (antifreeze) and diesel exhaust fluid containers with a capacity of 50 litres or less (including aerosol containers used to hold a lubricant and a cleaner for automotive parts) and used filters, on behalf of its members.

Who are we?

  • To be officially implemented on January 1st, 2020, UOMA NS will represent a group of companies that sell the products designated by our program.
  • The members will provide financial support to the UOMA NS network consisting of many collection facilities throughout Nova Scotia.
  • UOMA NS  will be managed by a Board of Directors elected or designated, from among the members with or without the right to vote, as stipulated in the General By-Laws.
  • Continuity will be assured by the presence of  general manager, Mr. Jean Duchesneau.

We are proud to participate in efforts to protect our environment while giving these used products a second life.
